Katherine D. Kazimer, 71, of Mount Dora, FL formerly of Bryantown, MD passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Born January 25, 1944 to John J. Dobinick and Katherine O’Brien in Kingston, Pennsylvania, she lived a full life of achievements. Graduated 1961 from West Side Central Catholic, Kingston, PA followed by serving with the Navy Reserve 1963-1966. Kathy worked for NASA during the Gemini and Apollo Era followed by Real Estate Agent, Manager, and Vice President with Manning Realty. She was an Owner & Operator of Shady Oaks Bed and Breakfast of Serenity. Kathy loved her community and served on many board in Charles County Maryland: Board of Appeals, Charles County Chamber of Commerce of Commerce, Transportation Board, and the Ambassadors Committee, Board for Alternatives for Youth and Families, Red Cross Board of Southern Maryland, Academy Selection Board, EDC – Business Retention, Charles County Business Network, Chairperson and member for the So. MD. Travel and Tourism Committee, Board Member of the Northern Democrats of Charles County, Past President of Charles County Business and Professional Women’s Club, Vice President and member of the Charles County Crime Solvers Board, SMEDA Board, and member of the Board of Realtors in Southern Maryland. In 2010 she moved to Mount Dora were she volunteered with the Florida Hospital Hospice Care. She is survived by her loving Husband, George Eugene Kazimer of Mount Dora, FL; Daughters, Jacqueline Jean Kazimer of Apopka, FL, Stephanie Kazimer-Jost of Monroe, NC, and Jennifer Kazimer Howell of Arlington, VA; Grandson, Jacob Jost, of Monroe, NC; Sister-in-laws, Ellen Dobinick of Dallas, PA, Judy Rusnock of Uniontown, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family.
