James R. Schubert

James R. Schubert, 92, of Eustis, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he moved to Eustis in 1974 from Palatine, Illinois. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1951. James was a very big "Big Blue" football supporter for the University of Michigan. He was a restaurant owner & operator. James was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Eustis and the American Legion, Post 41 of Eustis. He served in the USNavy during World War II. Jameshad lived at Lake Ridge Village in Eustis since 2012 and loved the staff and residents. He is survived by his 4 sons, Martin J. Schubert, Eustis, FL, Dennis Schubert, Tallahassee, FL, Stan Schubert, Georgia, Tim Schubert, Ocoee, FL; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. A memorial service will be held at Lake Ridge Village, 353 West Ardice Avenue, Eustis on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 2727 South Grove Street, Eustis, FL 32726.
