Helen Ruth Pendergraft

Helen Ruth Pendergraft, 92, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. Born in Eustis, Florida, she graduated from Eustis High School. She lived most of her life in Lake County moving back to Lake County in 1980 from Palm Beach County. She was a Nurses Aide at Oakwood Nursing Center, Eustis, was a member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary and Grand Island Baptist Church. Helen is survived by her son, Edward Pendergraft, Jr., Pompano Beach, FL; 2 daughters, Linda P. Newton, Ocala, FL, Lorraine Pendergraft, Leesburg, FL; sister, Doris Collier, Whiteville, NC; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Grand Island Baptist Church, Grand Island on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island.
