First Sergeant William Asa Reed, US Army Retired

First Sergeant William Asa Reed, US Army Retired, 84, of Eustis, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017. Born in Paris, Kentucky, he moved to Central Florida in 1969. He was a Vietnam veteran in the US Army and served in the 101st Airborne. After retiring from the Army, he worked and retired from Sea World, Orlando. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mount Dora. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Connie Ann Reed, Eustis, FL; son, William Terry (Donna) Reed, Oakland, FL; 2 daughters, Carla Elizabeth Brooks, Eustis, FL, Mary Michelle (Dan) Gentry, Summerfield, FL; 2 brothers, Elmer Reed, Cynthiana KY, Bob Reed, Seaview, WA; sister, Geneva Long, North Middletown, KY; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Reed. Military graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
