Edna S. Taylor, 93, of Mount Dora, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. Born in Doerun, Georgia, she moved to Eustis in 1967 from Tampa, Florida following her husband's retirement from the US Army. She was a member of the Lake County Quilters Guild and the Eustis Garden Club, competing many times in flower competitions. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church, Eustis. Edna is survived by her 3 sons, Ret. Lt. Col. Ronald G. Taylor, Richmond, VA, Raynard S. (Dagmar) Taylor, Blairsville, GA, Dr. Timothy R. (Anna) Taylor, Richmond, VA; 5 grandchildren, Kelley Ann Muriente, Sierra Vista, AZ, Denise A. Taylor Boyette, Eustis, FL, Dawn A. Taylor, Eustis, FL, Samuel G. Taylor, Boston, MA, Ariana R. Taylor, Mount Vernon, NH; and 1 great-grandchild, Kyle Hollinger, Sierra Vista, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Col. Royal R. Taylor. Services will be held at Garden of Life Chapel at Waterman Village, Mount Dora on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. Memorial donations may be made to Veterans Organization of Resources & Recovery for the Homeless, Post Office Box 1754, Eustis, FL 32727.
