Buck Jones

Walter F "Buck" Jones, 78, of Mount Dora, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015. Born on January 19, 1937 in Garrettsville, Ohio, he moved to Mount Dora in 1992 from Mantua, Ohio. He was the Retired Assistant Fire Chief with the Mantua-Shalersville, Ohio Fire Department. He was a Foster Parent of 76 Foster Children. Buck was an active bowler and loved the Orlando Solar Bears Hockey Team. He was a Scout Leader and loved coaching youth baseball. He was an active member of Hilltop Christian Church in Mantua, Ohio and was a charter member at Life Community Church, Eustis. Buck served his country in the US Navy. He is predeceased by his first wife, Mary Fall Jones; parents, Walter and Ruth Jones; sister, Patricia Kosmerl; and son-in-law, Gary Foster. Buck is survived by his wife, Sheila V. Jones, Mount Dora, FL; 3 sons, Walter "Lee" Jones (Lori), Leesburg, FL, Gary A. Jones (Kazuko), Japan, David Aiguier, Archdale, NC; 4 daughters, Jacki Foster, Eustis, FL, Barb Blazek (Joe), Mantua, OH, Cindy Virden (Jeff), Paisley, FL, Roxanne Imm (Greg), Mount Dora, FL; brother, Mike Jones (Grace), Napa, CA; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis, FL on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM and memorial services will be held in Ohio at a later date.
