Bryan Wayne Lewis

October 25, 1966 — April 8, 2017

Bryan Wayne Lewis, age 50, went to be with the Lord Jesus on April 8, 2017, after a short illness (ARDS). He grew up in Smyrna, Ga, and in 1994 married Jill Taylor, also of Smyrna. He was a graduate of Wills High School, Georgia Institute of Technology, and received a masters degree in business from Kennesaw State University. Bryan was employed by the Tom Barrow Company, and for the past 19 years for Emerson Climate Control. He was a resident of Orlando, Florida for the past 16 years, and a member of Downtown Baptist Church of Orlando. Bryan is survived by his wife, Jill Taylor Lewis, his parents, Wayne and Paula Lewis, his in-laws Tom and Judy Taylor, his sister and brother-in-law Gina and Bobby Booth, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jenny and Scott Liedberg, eight nephews, seven nieces, two grand-nephews, and six grand-nieces. Among his many loves were his family and friends, good music, golf, and anything Georgia Tech. He was greatly loved by all who new him. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to The Geneva School Building Fund in memory of Bryan Lewis (2025 SR 436, Winter Park, Florida, 32792, please note information on your check). The Geneva School is a classical Christian School that Jill and Bryan were associated with and supported. Services will be held in Smyrna, Georgia, on Friday, April 14th, 2017 at 11:00 at Carmichael Funeral Home of Smyrna. An additional service will be held in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at 11:00 at Downtown Baptist Church of Orlando. A reception for visitation and fellowship will follow each service. Resurrection Day held special meaning for Bryan and was his favorite holiday. The family would like to honor that by inviting everyone to wear colorful Easter attire as we celebrate Bryan’s life.
